The paperwork · terms of service
The deal, in plain language.
Effective 28 July 2026. Short enough to actually read — which is the point. Questions before you buy live on the pricing page; how your data is handled lives in the privacy policy.
- What you're buying
- MCP Access is a subscription. It buys one read-only bearer key (a
trova_sk_…string) that unlocks the hosted MCP server at/api/mcpand the Trovafile export at/api/export. There is no app account, no password, and no dashboard — the key is the whole product. The vault application itself, and the raw corpus behind it, are not for sale at any tier. - The key
- The key is a bearer credential: anyone holding it can spend your subscription, so treat it like a password. Usage is metered at 500 billable calls per UTC day across MCP tool calls and the export — handshake and tool discovery are free. The post-checkout page re-shows your key on every revisit; that URL is the recovery path. We may revoke a key when the subscription lapses, or immediately if it is being used to attack the service or to bulk-extract the corpus.
- Billing
- Billing runs through Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. Plans are monthly or annual, and the rate you subscribe at holds for as long as you stay subscribed — when the founding window closes, prices change for new subscribers, not for you. Cancel whenever: access runs to the end of the period you already paid for, then the key stops working. Founding keys are numbered by order of purchase; a cancelled founding subscriber keeps their number if they return.
- What you may do with what the key returns
- Briefs, steal-notes, palettes, and typography specs served to your agent are licensed for use in your own projects, commercial or otherwise. What the license never covers: republishing or reselling the corpus or the notes in bulk, sharing one key across parties who should each hold their own, or crawling the service to reconstruct the vault. The moat stays the moat.
- The references
- The library's captured references are screenshots of other people's published work, held for study — the same way a designer keeps a swipe file. The original work belongs to its creators, and nothing here grants you a license to their designs, marks, or brands. What Trova authors and licenses is the annotation layer: the human-written notes about why something works. Steal the lesson, not the pixels.
- Service, as-is
- The service is provided as-is, without warranty. We aim to keep it up and honest, but a one-person product does not promise an SLA. Our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim — for a $24/month key, that is the deal being made.
- Changes
- These terms may change as the product does. Material changes get a dated note here, and continuing to use your key after a change is acceptance. If a change is not acceptable, cancel — the clause above about paid periods still applies.
