Try it first · no key, no account

Point your agent at the endpoint with no credentials and it answers. You get the free slice: one canonical reference from each of the 5 families the vault is deepest in, 5 calls a day — enough to build one screen with it and one without, and see whether the output actually changed.

01design_context
The curated brief — references, their steal-notes (model drafts marked as such), and a craft baseline — served to your agent over MCP, mid-build.
02list_families
The taxonomy with live entry counts, so the agent picks one direction instead of averaging them.
03search_steals
Full-text search across every steal-note — “what did we steal about footers?”, answered from the vault.
04find_references
Structured JSON queries that compose: family, medium, section, steal type, font (“sohne” finds Söhne) and hex color ranked by perceptual distance — “what sets a grotesk on a warm red?”
05get_reference
One reference in full, plus its nearest neighbours — each with the reason it is near: shared fonts, palette distance, family, tags.
06family_style
A family read as a DESIGN.md-ready style sheet: the fonts and colors it keeps returning to, readable pairs with contrast ratios, every move cited to its reference.
07Trovafile export
The same brief as a plain markdown file from /api/export, for any agent that reads files — filters ride as query params.
08trova init & audit CLI
One command (`npx trova init --family swiss --token $KEY`) writes the full Trovafile brief and wires AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md; `npx trova audit <url>` launches headless Chromium to verify composite WCAG contrast, 0px geometry, 13px type floor, and 44px hit targets.

Planned subscriptions · register your interest

These are planned prices in USD. Registering interest creates no subscription and takes no payment. At launch, annual plans will charge the full year upfront; the monthly equivalent is for comparison. The founding limit counts founding annual subscriptions only, not monthly keys. Continued access includes the current hosted library and export; no fixed content-release cadence is promised. For cancellation and refund requests, contact support from the email on your receipt before renewal; see terms.

These are the launch prices; no card is taken until checkout opens, and the email is used once, for that. Meanwhile read the free Trovafile: the same file a key exports, cut to the free slice.

Release notes

: public browsing gains compact filters, shareable references, source-preserving brief copying and clearer attribution. Subscriber setup and output comparisons are now inspectable. Source verification is still under review; no new or reverified reference count is claimed.

A subscription continues access to the hosted collection and export. There is no guaranteed monthly volume of additions. Inspect the saved application experiments before deciding whether this suits repeated work.

The fine print, in plain sight

  • Launch pricing: the launch window is the fifty founding annual keys — when key #50 sells, monthly goes to $49 list and annual to $490. Whatever rate you subscribe at holds for as long as you stay subscribed.
  • Metering: 500 billable calls per UTC day across MCP tool calls and the export — leak insurance for a key pasted somewhere public, not a promise of unlimited use. Handshake and tool discovery are free.
  • The free slice: keyless callers reach the same six tools, restricted to one canonical entry per family across the 5 deepest, at 5 calls a day. list_families is never restricted — you can always see the full size of what you are not being shown. The same slice as the file your agent would get: read the sample Trovafile.
  • Existing keyholders: your hosted access and key recovery remain available independently of new purchases. Save your key in a password manager. Lost access? Have it re-sent to the address you paid with.
  • What it never buys: the raw corpus (vault.json) is owner-only at any price. The corpus is the moat; the taste is what's for rent.
